Nadia Buari made her debut on Ghanaian national television with the TV series Games People Play in late 2005. Her first major film was Mummy's Daughter, followed by her role in Beyonce: The President's Daughter, where her portrayal of "Beyonce" marked her major breakthrough. She began her movie career in Games People Play, which earned her a nomination for best actress. Buari has since starred in over 20 films.
In 2013, she released her own movie, The Diary of Imogene Brown. That same year, she made her first appearance alongside Ghanaian actress and TV personality Nana Ama McBrown in Coming Africa: Welcome to Ghana.
Around 2008, Buari transitioned from Ghanaian films to Nollywood films, with her breakthrough role in Beyonce & Rihanna, where she played Beyonce alongside Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde as Rihanna. The film gained significant popularity among both Ghanaian and Nigerian audiences. Other notable Nollywood films she appeared in include Rough Rider, Beauty and the Beast, Holding Hope, and Single and Married.
